What is a Web Hunt?
A webhunt  or scavenger hunt  is an inquiry based activity that has students practice problem solving, improve reading and comprehension skills and learn how to search the Internet. The webhunt is very specific and basic.
 
What is a CyberInquiry?
A cyberinquiry is  a transition step between a guided tour and a Webquest.It requires that the students analyze, synthesize and evaluate. The student is challenged to solve a task using critical thinking.  The Cyberinquiry is linear.
 
 
 

Creating a Webhunt
 
1. Identify a concept/idea that you would like to reinforce or introduce.
 
2. Search for websites that reinforce or introduce the concept/idea
 
3. Develop questions that may be answered by reviewing the site.
 
4. Provide the students access to the webhunt either online or in print.
Creating a CyberInquiry
 
1. Decide upon a topic.
 
2.  Gather the websites for students to use.
 
3. Design question(s).
 
4. Provide resources throughout the classroom that students can use for research in addition to Internet.
 
5. Design grading system for project evaluation
 
7. Design teacher and peer evaluation for the project.
